The Indonesian Trading Company is based on the concept of responsible business and fair trade.

We do our utmost to ensure that within the company we adhere to tenets of equitable trade and environmental responsibility.

At Indotraders, we believe that the best way to help ourselves and our company is to help everyone who works with us. In light of this philosophy, we ensure that everyone is paid a fair price for their work – from our craftsmen to our office staff. We do not believe in "squeezing" anyone dry to maximize our own profits.

Our staff are paid good wages, provided with child support, and provided with interest free loans (when required) to avoid the high interest rates charged by local banks. As a result, many of our staff have been able to become home and property owners.

At Indotraders, we believe in equality. Salaries are gender-blind and women make up over 85% of the workforce in our office and warehouse.

The tenets of fair trade, which we strive to adhere to, demand a safe and healthy working environment. At Indotraders, we ensure that our craftsmen do not use child labour in the production of their goods and we do not hire children to work in our office or warehouse. The health and wellbeing of our staff is of utmost importance to us and all spaces owned by Indotraders uphold rigorous safety standards. Furthermore, all our staff and their children are fully covered for medical issues.

To go a step further, we are determined to provide for the future of our staff and their children. All costs associated with the education of their children (school fees, uniforms, books, academic excursions, private tutoring) are covered by the company.

Finally, in line with the principles of fair trade, Indotraders endeavours to do its best for the environment. All packing materials are recycled, and all our staff have been educated about responsible waste management and recycling.
